Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says hot and humid weather will continue this week.
Powell adds a daily chance of showers and thunderstorms are possible every afternoon.
The Paducah National Weather Service says a few storms may produce heavy downpours, lightning, and strong wind gusts. They add dangerously warm heat indices pushing over 100 degrees are possible Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Powell says he is watching a system that may bring some cooler temperatures to the region next weekend.
