The Christian County Public Schools COVID-19 Task Force is continuing to meet to plan for the reopening of school with board members expected to review three options at Thursday night’s meeting.
John Rittenhouse, spokesman for the school district, said the three possible models include a traditional model where all students attend school in person; a non-traditional instruction model where all students receive virtual at-home instruction; and, a hybrid model where students receive both in-person instruction and virtual at-home instruction.
Rittenhouse says Superintendent Chris Bentezel will present the three options to the school board at its meeting Thursday evening at 6:00. The public can view the meeting via live stream on the Christian County Public Schools website at christian.kyschools.us.
After the school board has approved a final model of instruction for the 2020-21 school year, Rittenhouse says the district will conduct online forums to answer concerns from community members.
He adds a Virtual Learning Academy will also be provided for families who do not desire to send their children for school for medical reasons.
