A Wilmore, Kentucky man is facing charges in Princeton following a one-vehicle accident at a local restaurant Wednesday.
According to a Princeton Police report officers responded to Kay’s Kitchen just after 12:30PM in reference to a single-vehicle accident. The report indicates when officers arrived on scene they made contact with the driver, 42-year-old Michael C. Bartee, and investigation revealed Bartee was allegedly under the influence of intoxicants.
Officers were also told by witnesses that Bartee had tried to hide a camouflage bag before officers arrived on scene. Officers were then shown the bag and it was found to contain suspected marijuana and paraphernalia.
Bartee was taken into custody and charged with his first DUI offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
He was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
