Officials in Todd and Logan counties have announced the popular annual festivals held in the fall have been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Todd County Publisher Ryan Craig told the News Edge Wednesday morning that Elkton’s HarvestFest scheduled for Saturday, October 3, and the Tobacco and Heritage Festival have been canceled.
He added the festivals were canceled out of concern for the health and safety of the community.
Elkton officials noted they are continuing to look for alternative activities to celebrate in the year of Elkton’s bicentennial later in the year if possible.
