A well-known educator is stepping down from her role as Assistant Superintendent of Trigg County Schools.
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Beth Sumner announced at Thursday’s Trigg County Board of Education meeting that she will retire after 27-years with the district.
Sumner will officially retire September 1.
During the comments portion at the end of the meeting, the board members thanked Sumner for her years of service to the school system.
