Teens Learn Valuable Lessons During 10th Annual AT and T Program

Sixteen inner-city Hopkinsville teens graduated the 10th annual Challenge House AT&T program Friday afternoon.

The program that focuses on attitude, training, and teamwork is a two-week course where students learn about life skills and participate in job shadowing.

Gina Condella, who helps run Challenge House 4 at 517 N. Elm Street, told parents and other family members in attendance the students did great.

Condella said faith in God is the foundation everyone needs to build their lives.

Before each student was handed a certificate and a $200 check, they had to share their experience with their socially distanced family and friends.

Anthony learned a valuable lesson.

Each student also shared what they plan to do with their money; most plan to save it, with some helping their families or buying supplies to start a business.

The program is sponsored in part by a grant from AT&T Communications.
