Christian County is reporting its sixth COVID-related death and second in the past week.
Amanda Sweeney with the health department said a 65-year-old African American male with underlying health conditions died as a result of complications due to COVID-19. She said the case was not related to any community clusters or facilities.
Christian County reported three COVID deaths on April 8th and the county’s fourth on June 25th. Last Friday, the health department confirmed the county’s fifth fatality.
