The City of Hopkinsville has announced there will be no Mayor’s Youth Council Program (MYCity) during the 2020-2021 school year due to the ongoing challenges caused by COVID-19.
City officials are encouraging eligible students to consider applying for the next year’s class. Meanwhile, officials are also encouraging local young people to continue sharing their ideas and feedback with the city’s elected officials, departments, and divisions.
Since 2015, officials note 83 students have been selected to participate in the MYCity program, which serves as a targeted initiative as a means to solicit youth input and foster authentic engagement.
