The 2nd Annual Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K is still on track to take place next month.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman tells the News Edge the event will take place Saturday, September 19. He adds they have come up with a plan to run the events safely.
Brockman says everybody who signs up for the half marathon and 5K will receive a shirt.
Click here to sign up to participate in the “Wally’s Walkers”, which is a one-mile walk; the 5K; or half-marathon. Those who sign up before August 31 will receive a special rate. All proceeds from this year’s event will go to Challenge House, which helps inner-city youth in Hopkinsville.
