The American Red Cross is encouraging the community to schedule an appointment for a blood donation at the drive scheduled for this week in Cadiz.
Coordinators David and April Stagner tells the News Edge the drive is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:00 to 5:00 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. April Stagner says all donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies.
She explains that the presence of antibodies does not necessarily mean the patient is infected with the coronavirus.
David Stagner notes blood donations containing antibodies could be used to aid in COVID-19 recovery.
