Woman Charged After Hopkinsville Crash

A Pembroke woman was charged with wanton endangerment and DUI after a wreck on Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 29-year-old Elesha Whitlock was southbound on Pembroke Road when for an unknown reason the car ran off the road hitting an embankment and overturning.

Police say two children were in the car at the time of the crash and one of them may have been ejected during the wreck.

Whitlock and her two children were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries.

Whitlock is charged with DUI and first-degree wanton endangerment. The crash happened at the intersection of Frank Yost Lane just before 10 pm.
