A Hopkinsville man was arrested on assault and drug charges following an incident at a residence Thursday morning.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison states just before 9:30 officers responded to the 2000 block of Dawson Road in reference to a domestic complaint. He adds when officers arrived they made contact with 25-year-old Dequan D. Bussell and investigation revealed that a physical altercation had occurred resulting in minor injury to the victim.
Assistant Chief Allison notes during a search of his person Bussell was also allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana.
Bussell was taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree assault – minor injury and possession of marijuana. He was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
