The Todd County Health Department reported Monday two new positive coronavirus cases had been confirmed in the county, with one of those cases hospitalized.
Director Jen Harris said an adult with underlying health conditions tested positive Sunday and is in the hospital with moderate symptoms. She added the patient is not connected to any of the other COVID-19 cases and all contacts have been notified by the health department to quarantine for 14-days.
Harris said a healthy adult tested positive for the virus Monday and is isolated at home with no symptoms. She said this adult is connected to another case and there no additional contacts were quarantined.
The new cases bring the county’s total to 102 since mid-March. Of those cases, Harris reports 66 have recovered, 30 are healing at home, five are hospitalized, and there has been one death related to the virus.
According to Harris, the county’s recovery rate from the virus is 65%.
