With the start date for virtual classes set for Monday, August 31 at Trigg County Public Schools, the district has announced dates for students enrolled in the middle and high schools to pick up Chromebook laptops.
Community Education Coordinator Sarah Elliott says high school students can pick up their computers on Thursday from noon until 6:00 PM or Friday from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Elliott adds those picking up the computer will need to enter the bus lane at the side of the high school from Lafayette Street and exit on Main Street. Whoever is picking up the computer will not be allowed to exit their vehicle. There will be several stations set up both days for pick up, payment of Chromebook insurance fees, and to learn how to use it.
In addition, the middle school will host pick up days on Monday afternoon, August 24 from 1:00 until 7:00 and Tuesday, August 25 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Parents are asked to enter through the new front office entrance on the Lafayette Street side of the school to sign needed forms and pay insurance fees before they receive their student’s device.
Students who attend Trigg County Primary and Intermediate schools will also receive Chromebooks, but a date has not been set for device pick up.
