Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some additional changes are coming for this year’s Hopkinsville Rotary Club Auction, which was pushed back to September.
Rotary President Scott Cowan announced the changes Tuesday afternoon, saying the public will not be allowed at the auction from September 14-19.
Cowan adds community members will still be able to pick up items at the War Memorial Building, with a cash register to be set up in the front lobby. He adds there are several ways to listen to the auction, but bids will only be accepted over the phone.
More information about the auction can be found here.
In addition, the club is auctioning off a chance to attend the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks on September 4 and 5. The package comes with six tickets for each and a parking pass. Bids are being accepted on the rotary’s Facebook page through Wednesday.
