Trigg Man Indicted for June Police Pursuit

A Cadiz man who led police on a chase in June before running out of gas has been indicted on four felony charges by the Trigg County grand jury.

27-year-old Cody Sarnacki was indicted on charges of First Degree Fleeing Police; Operating on a Suspended License; two counts of First Degree Wanton Endangerment and a charge of being a persistent felony offender.

The charges are the result of a June 19 police pursuit that began on Glenwood Mill Road and later ended on U.S. 68 when police say Sarnacki reached speeds of 100 miles per hour, nearly hit two other vehicles, and ran out of gas. Police said Sarnacki had been released from the Christian County Jail after a DUI arrest the previous day.

Sarnacki’s bond was set at $7,500 cash by Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall.
