Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, which is celebrated on the fourth Tuesday in September.The day was first observed in 2012 and is designed to celebrate our democracy and urge citizens to vote.
Members of the Beta Rho Omega AKA is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville Tuesday morning to provide an opportunity for anyone not registered to vote to do so.
In order to register to vote, officials with the League of Women Voters indicate all you need is your smartphone, basic contact information, and Social Security Number, which will not be released. If you do not have a smartphone, you will still be able to register.
Voter registration will be Tuesday morning from 7:00 until noon at the Farmers Market, located at 198 West 9th Street in downtown Hopkinsville.
