The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists to be aware of road work in Hopkinsville and Christian County and Hopkinsville Friday.
Spokeswoman Keirsten Jaggers says beginning in the morning, resurfacing efforts will be underway on Kentucky 287 (Bins Mill Road) from the bridge over Little River (mile marker 5.426) to Kentucky 164 (mile marker 6.188). She adds due to the narrowness of the highway, it will be closed to thru traffic while work is performed.
Upon completion, resurfacing will be moved to Hopkinsville on U.S. 41/East 9th Street. Jaggers says work will be done at the 12-mile marker near St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Flaggers will be on-site for traffic control and motorists are encouraged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone.
