A Hopkinsville man was charged after he fired shots into an apartment building and vehicle on Hancock Street in Hopkinsville Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 28-year-old DeAudrey Civils fired shots into the apartment building hitting it several times and an SUV just before 3 am at the intersection of Hancock Street and Hazel Street.
Shell casings were found scattered across the roadway.
A man was reportedly sleeping inside one of the apartments during the shooting but he was not injured.
Civils is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief.
