City of Hopkinsville Chief Financial Officer Robert Martin was among 27 city officials from across the commonwealth who was recently recognized by the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) for receiving a training award. Martin received a Level III – Master of City Governance award during the KLC Virtual Conference and Expo last month.
According to Hopkinsville officials, the City Officials Training Center is a voluntary education program administered by the KLC. City officials can complete education levels by attending KLC events and by submitting outside educational credit from other municipal training. The four levels of achievement include:
– Level 1 – Achievement in City Governance;
– Level 2 – Excellence in City Governance;
– Level 3 – Master of Governance; and
– Certified Municipal Officer, the highest designation
Martins received the Level III – Master of Governance award after attending 90 hours of approved training with three hours of ethics training.
