The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned indictments for murder and abuse of a corpse in connection to a body found in a cemetery in Fredonia in June.
The grand jury returned an indictment on 53-year-old Joseph Lawrence Florentine, of Rock Hill, South Carolina for murder and abuse of a corpse. The charges stem from an incident on June 13th when Kentucky State Police were contacted by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a female body found in Hill Cemetery. The body was later identified as Florentine’s wife, 36-year-old Nicole Renee Florentine, of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Joseph Florentine was located and arrested in Denver, Colorado on June 23rd and was originally facing charges of abuse of a corpse and is currently lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
