Options are being considered to help reduce the odor from the industrial hemp drying process that has resulted in numerous complaints from residents who live near the Vertical Wellness plant in Cadiz.
Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander says he has consulted more than one state agency to discuss ways to help reduce the odor.
Alexander says the company is looking into a way to help alleviate some of the problems.
Alexander says he is trying to work with both sides to help ease some of the concerns.
Vertical Wellness dries industrial hemp to extract the CBD oil to make many products at the facility located on U. S. 68 in Cadiz. The facility opened in Cadiz in October 2018 after the company purchased the former D&W Finepack building.
