Police have released the name of a woman that was taken to the hospital after she was hit by an SUV in a parking lot Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 77-year-old Elaine Fentress of Hopkinsville was walking to her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot when she was hit by an SUV driven by 46-year-old Tammy Wells of Hopkinsville.
Wells reportedly told police she was turning in front of the store and didn’t see Fentress.
Fentress was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries to her hip and arm.
The crash happened just after 11 am.
