Early Voting Ends Monday in Kentucky

The November General Election will come to a close this week, and local officials are urging residents to vote either Monday or Tuesday.

Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley tells the News Edge they will be hosting their last day of early voting at the EOC building Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Finley adds voter turnout, as of Thursday, was already near 45-percent. When asked about her prediction, Finley says she hopes for 68-percent turnout.

 

In Christian County, Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries says over 7,000 people have already cast their ballot through early voting.

 

Early voting continues Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Christian County Senior Citizens Center. Humphries adds there will be seven sites open on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

They include; the Bruce Convention Center, the Christian County Courthouse, the senior citizens center, Valor Hall in Oak Grove, Sinking Fork Baptist Church, Pembroke Baptist Church, and Crofton City Hall.

Humphries adds if you end up becoming quarantined and haven’t voted yet, to call her office.
