A Bowling Green man and woman have been charged after they reportedly tried to break into a pharmacy on Country Club Lane Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they received a call around 2 am from an employee at Tom’s Family Pharmacy about two people around the building trying to move the outside cameras.
39-year-old Glenn Budd and a second person were reportedly unable to get inside the business before police arrived and fled into a wooded area behind the pharmacy.
Police say Budd was arrested after a short foot pursuit and the second suspect was not located. About an hour later police reportedly stopped a vehicle on East 9th Street near McLean Avenue that had been seen in the area of the burglary.
Police say the driver 31-year-old Misty Gaddis had an expired license and the vehicle registration came back to Budd. Inside the vehicle police allegedly found a walkie-talkie, electric saw, two wooden posts, multiple ropes, and a dolly.
Budd is charged with attempted third-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of burglary tools, third-degree criminal mischief, and tampering with physical evidence. Gaddis was charged with possession of burglary tools and complicity to third-degree burglary.
