The Pennyrile District Health Department reported 15 additional new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Caldwell and Lyon counties from Saturday through Monday afternoon.
According to the report, thirteen of those cases are in Caldwell County and include six females and seven males, ranging in age from 3-years old to 77. Officials indicate all of the cases are isolated at home.
Since the pandemic began in March, 444 Caldwell County residents have been infected with the coronavirus.
The health department also reported two new COVID cases in Lyon County involving two females, ages 20 and 57-years old, who are both recovering at home.
There has been a total of 161 coronavirus cases confirmed in Lyon County.
