A special event will be held Saturday in Oak Grove to help collect food donations to help those in need over the holidays.
Andrea Colon, the organizer for the event, told the News Edge she understood the need, first hand at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will take place at Valor Hall in Oak Grove from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Over 60 vendors will be on hand, along with food vendors and pet adoptions.
Other donations of blankets, gently used clothes, and more will be accepted. She added donations collected Saturday would benefit a Clarksville organization.
Colon said the event would be a great place to get some holiday shopping done.
Valor Hall is located at 105 Walter Garrett Lane in Oak Grove.
