Trigg County Hospital could have rapid COVID-19 testing next month.
Hospital CEO John Sumner told the board of trustees Thursday evening they had planned to start a few weeks ago.
Sumner also told board members they had reached an agreement with other area hospitals to take COVID-19 patients if they do not have the room for them.
Sumner also shared they have asked Pennyrile Area Development District for an extension regarding their room expansion project.
Sumner added they learned they would have to hire an architect for the project as it will be considered new construction.
The grant is $105,000, and the hospital will have to pay at least $85,000 to construct six new patient rooms.
