Underwood Has Court Appearance Continued to 2021

A Cadiz man indicted for attempted murder after he allegedly cut another man with a knife in May appeared in Trigg Circuit Court Wednesday.

Dustin Underwood and Public Defender Mary Rohrer appeared virtually before Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall. Rohrer asked another pretrial conference date be set.

Judge Woodall set another pretrial conference for Wednesday, February 10.

Underwood was indicted by a Trigg County grand jury earlier this year on the attempted murder charge and possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.

Underwood’s charges stemmed from a May 19 incident when state police said he used a knife to cut a 35-year old man’s jawline during a fight in southern Trigg County. Police reportedly learned about the fight when the man showed up at Trigg County Hospital’s emergency room.

Underwood remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
