A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on North O’Neal Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 38-year-old Shedrick Moore grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and choked her before pushing her against the fireplace.
Police say the woman had marks on her neck consistent with strangulation. Moore was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree strangulation.
