An Evansville man indicted in Kentucky on weapons charges and later escaping from the Christian County Jail has entered a guilty plea in federal court.
Creadell Hubbard entered the guilty plea in the Western Division in Paducah to escaping from the jail while he was a federal prisoner. The plea carries a recommended 18-month prison term and will run consecutive to a previous 23-year term in a separate guilty plea.
Hubbard was one of the first four people indicted from the creation of the Hopkinsville Gun Crimes Task Force in August 2019. Hubbard was arrested in February 2019 after a police pursuit in Hopkinsville. Hubbard, a convicted felon from a bank robbery charge in North Carolina, was wearing a ballistic vest and was in possession of multiple firearms when arrested by police following a police chase.
Hubbard was being held in the Christian County Jail in October of 2019 and escaped through an air duct vent at the jail. He was captured in Evansville five days later.
Hubbard will be sentenced in federal court on all of his charges on February 25.
