Fort Campbell Implements Mask Mandate

Fort Campbell has issued a mask mandate for all facilities on the Army post to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Information released Wednesday said all personnel must wear a mask inside all facilities on Fort Campbell. People can temporarily remove their masks to consume food and beverages in dining facilities and food courts; while alone in an individual room or workspace; or while conducting physical training in the physical fitness centers.

The release went on to say that personnel conducting physical training will have a mask on them and that anyone not in compliance may be asked to vacate any facility on Fort Campbell.

Fort Campbell cites CDC recommendations in saying that cloth face coverings should NOT be worn by children under the age of 2 or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

Fort Campbell remains at Health Protection Condition Bravo which means there is a moderate risk for the transmission of the virus on post.  However, the Department of Defense announced Wednesday that travel restrictions at Fort Campbell had been lifted.
