Although the new COVID vaccine is in short supply across the region, officials with the Pennyrile District Health Department announced Tuesday afternoon they are offering limited doses to healthcare workers or a person 70 or older who requires oxygen.
Officials say they have very limited doses at this time, but if you are in one of those groups and in their five-county district you can call your local health department to schedule an appointment for the COVID vaccine. Officials add they will stick with this group until greater volumes of the vaccine are available.
