Officials with the Dawson Springs Independent School System have announced students will not return to in-person instruction until February 1st.
Superintendent Lenny Whalen tells the News Edge students are currently learning virtually from home. He adds they initially planned on students returning to in-person instruction on January 19th because they felt the holiday spike of COVID-19 cases would be declining; however, he says that didn’t happen and the number of cases is increasing in the area and across the state.
