The Trigg County Hospital board of trustees approved contracts for ENT services and pain management during their meeting last week.
Hospital Administrator John Sumner tells the News Edge the action came following an executive session Thursday evening.
Sumner adds they are also in the process of trying to recruit Ellie Jolly back to Trigg County.
Also, Trigg County Hospital is looking into purchasing new ambulances.
The hospital board of trustees also heard about the latest progress of the building project that will bring six new hospital rooms. The project has already received a $100,000 grant from the Pennyrile Area Development District.
The project will add two shower rooms and a nurses’ station. Sumner says the private rooms will make patients more comfortable, instead of sharing a room with another patient.
