While the Pennyrile District Health Department announced 40 new COVID-19 cases across its five-county district, Trigg County made up eight of them.
Officials said the new Trigg County cases include six youth between the age of 11 and 15. The other two cases are females age 44 and 82. All of the new cases are recovering at home.
The county has reported 1,027 total COVID-19 cases since April 4, 2020.
