Man Charged with Stabbing Step-Father During Altercation In Elkton

An altercation between a man and his step-son led to the man being stabbed several times on Morningside Drive Wednesday afternoon.

Elkton Police say they were called to the home for a disturbance and found 37-year-old Robert Larue on top of 68-year-old Phillip Whittaker who had four puncture wounds. Larue was found holding a knife over his head and a firearm was also located in the room. Whittaker was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with what were termed severe injuries.

Larue was arrested and is lodged at the Todd County Jail on first-degree assault charges.
