Christian County’s active COVID-19 case total increased by 34 Tuesday to 416 which is still the second-lowest in the past 11 days.
Information from the health department said 14 active cases were added to the 21 and under age group and 16 were added to those between 22 and 59.
According to the Christian County Public School’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are 20 students with an active case of the coronavirus and six staff members. Additionally, there are 296 students in contact quarantine.
The state’s COVID-19 reporting site said University Heights has no new cases this week after reporting three last week. Heritage Christian Academy also reported three cases involving students last week but has not submitted a report this week.
There are 19 active cases involving staff members at long-term care facilities in Christian C0unty that include both facilities at Western State Hospital while 17 residents are infected, according to the state’s COVID reporting site.
