Pennyrile Electric crews are getting ready for the incoming ice storm.
Spokesman Brent Gilkey tells the News Edge freezing rain damages power lines the most, and crews are getting ready for whatever happens.
Although this system is not expected to be anything like the 2009 ice storm, Gilkey adds they have made some improvements.
