A Hopkinsville man was arrested on several felony warrants including robbery Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say on January 5th 44-year-old Earl Cook Sr. entered the Chinese Market on Chelsa Drive in Madisonville and forced a female to the back of the store then struck her with a firearm multiple times.
Cook then reportedly bound the woman’s feet and hands before she was able to escape to the car wash next door. Just before the robbery authorities were also called to a false report of a fight with shots fired that Cook allegedly called in.
Authorities say Cook’s mask, phone, and several surveillance videos led them to charge him with the robbery.
Cook is charged with first-degree robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, falsely reporting an incident and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
