Active COVID-19 cases among the students and staff at Christian County Public Schools remain low.
During the district’s weekly COVID update Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent Chris Bentzel said the district had zero in-person staff cases or quarantines. The district reported six in-person student cases, with two each coming from Hopkinsville High and Indian Hills Elementary, while one case was reported in Christian County High and Middle schools.
Also, there were 28 student quarantines, with 22 coming from Christian County Middle School.
Bentzel said the district is starting to see more students transition from the virtual learning academy to the traditional setting.
Bentzel added a majority of the teachers and staff had been vaccinated. He said the Christian County Health Department continues to vaccinate those who missed the original clinics.
