Indian Hills Elementary School has named Sara Sweeney as its next principal. She will replace the retiring Tonya Oakley this summer.
Sweeney was named to lead Indian Hills Elementary by the school’s site-based decision-making council. She currently serves as assistant principal at Millbrooke Elementary School. She began her career in education as a Reading and Social Studies teacher at Sinking Fork Elementary School.
Sweeney holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Murray State University and Master’s Degrees from both Murray State and Western Kentucky University.
She has two daughters Conley and Claudia Sweeney.
