A firefighter was injured and a home was destroyed in a fire on Mannington Loop in Christian County Saturday night.
Mannington Firefighters say smoke and flames were coming from the home when they arrived just before 6 pm.
The owner of the home called for firefighters after seeing smoke coming from the structure when they arrived home.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
A Mannington firefighter was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville for possible smoke inhalation.
Mannington Fire Department was assisted by Crofton, Westside, and Nortonville fire departments.
