Authorities have released the name of a diver that was pronounced dead at the hospital after an incident at Pennyroyal Scuba Center on Quarry Road Sunday afternoon.
Christian County emergency personnel say 32-year-old Linas Reed of Washington, Missouri, failed to return at his scheduled time while diving.
After he was located he was taken by ambulance with CPR in progress to a waiting helicopter but died from his injuries before getting into the helicopter.
Authorities were called to help in the search just after 3 pm and Reed was located shortly after they arrived.
