Pretrial Release Granted for College Street Murder Suspect

A Christian Circuit Court judge has granted a motion for a Hopkinsville woman charged with murder to be released from jail. 

Kachelle Isbell is accused of fatally shooting 33-year old Anthony Johnson in the neck in the early morning hours of April 3rd on College Street. Police say Isbell was located at the scene of the shooting with a gun and reportedly admitted to shooting Johnson.

Isbell and her attorney and a special prosecutor in the case, Tim Cocanougher, appeared before Judge Self for a bond hearing Monday morning.

During the hearing, Isbell’s mother Melissa Flood testified that her daughter would be living with her in  Murray.

Circuit Judge Andrew Self explained he was following the law regarding her release.
