Several local events gained contour this past week, when Bro. Presley Lamb of First Baptist Church in Fredonia gave News Edge some details surrounding July’s “Thunder in the Valley,” the “Great Comeback Revival” planned for August — and a large youth rally in the mix.
“Thunder in the Valley” will roar once again on July 3 at Buddy Rogers Park in Fredonia, with Christian comedian Taylor Mason flying in from New Jersey to headline at 6:30 p.m. before “rattle-your-teeth” fireworks ring in the nation’s birthday.
From August 1-6, “The Great Comeback Revival” will take place beginning at 7 p.m. in the Eddyville Mall of Lyon County, which according to Lamb will also include three mornings of services for senior citizens.
Then, amidst it all on July 23, a youth rally will take place at the City/County Park in Princeton. Starting at 6 p.m., those 13-to-18 years old can swim free for two hours in a lighted pool, with worship and praise planned to follow from 8-10:30 p.m.
It’s all part of spirit and service to the tri-county community, in which both Lamb and Christ Tabernacle youth pastor and Princeton native Brandon Sigler agreed felt “divine.”
