Boil Water Advisory Issued for Barkley Water Customers in Northern Trigg County

Around 800 Barkley Lake Water District customers are under a Boil Water Advisory after a contractor struck a main water line at the McUpton Pump Station Tuesday morning.

Superintendent John Herring tells the News Edge the customers affected are along Kentucky 139 – North/Princeton Road from Cadiz city limits to the Interstate 24 interchange and all roads connected to the highway.

Additionally, customers on Kentucky 124/Cerulean Road from Debbie Kaye’s Restaurant to Kentucky 128/Wallonia Road and all roads connected are also under the advisory.

Herring says the advisory could be lifted by Thursday afternoon. However, he adds customers could experience low water pressure until service is fully restored.

Herring says that you can call the Barkley Lake Water District office at (270) 522-8425 if you have any questions.
