U.S. Representative James Comer provided a Washington, D.C. update Monday to the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) board of directors during their June meeting.
During the update, Representative Comer said the biggest issue across his district is employers are having a tough time finding people to work.
Comer added he’s trying to stop the current policies that are not encouraging people to find jobs.
In addition, Comer said progress is being made in regards to the current infrastructure bill.
He added the talks surrounding the bill had come a long way.
Comer said one of the most common questions he has answered recently while at home has been about bills his constituents heard about on the news but have not been signed into law.
He added that any federal bills up for discussion must pass both the House of Representatives and the Senate before it heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
