A traffic stop on New Hope Road in Trigg County led to drug charges for a man and woman Thursday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Crystal Allen after it was seen driving in reverse on the roadway.
The tag on the vehicle was reportedly found to be expired and part of it was covered with spray paint.
Deputies say a passenger in the vehicle 46-year-old Phillip Stroud was found to have a syringe along with 10 grams of meth on him.
Allen was reportedly found to have a meth pipe in her bra. Deputies say 18 grams of meth, pills, a digital scale, synthetic drugs, and more syringes were located inside the vehicle.
They are both charged with trafficking meth. Allen was also charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, careless driving, and failure to maintain required insurance.
