The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed an eastbound lane of Interstate 24 in southern Christian County for pavement repairs.
Kiersten Jaggers, District 2 spokesperson, said the lane closure is taking place between mile markers 88 and 92. She added the lane closure would be on the outside driving lane, and the speed limit in the work zone will be 55 MPH while the work is performed.
Lane closures will remain in place for 2 to 3 weeks, and the transportation cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
